This fluidized bed freezer is developed for food products that need to remain individually separated after freezing.
High-pressure cold air passes upward through the stainless steel mesh belt and product layer. The airflow loosens the food pieces and reduces contact between adjacent products and the conveyor surface. This helps limit clumping during the initial freezing stage and supports an individually quick frozen result.
The machine is particularly suitable for small food pieces with relatively uniform dimensions. Large blocks, heavy portions and oversized products are not suitable for full fluidization and should be evaluated for another freezer type.
The complete freezer includes:
Two-stage stainless steel mesh conveyors
Independent belt-speed controls
High-capacity air circulation
Aluminum finned-tube evaporator
SUS304 internal supporting structure
Stainless steel polyurethane insulated enclosure
Schneider main electrical components

Key Features
Two-Stage Conveyor System
The freezing tunnel contains two independently controlled mesh-belt sections.
The first conveyor provides rapid cooling and surface setting. The second conveyor completes deep freezing while stronger airflow loosens the product layer.
Independent speed adjustment allows each stage to be configured according to the product’s surface moisture, size and required freezing time.
Individual Quick Freezing
Upward cold air passes through the mesh belt and creates spaces between small food particles.
This airflow helps reduce:
Product-to-product adhesion
Product sticking to the conveyor
Large frozen clusters
Uneven cold-air exposure
Manual separation after freezing
The final result depends on the product condition before loading. Products should be properly washed, cut, blanched where required, cooled and drained before entering the freezer.
3000 kg/h Reference Capacity
The published reference capacity is 3,000 kg/h for French fries.
Capacity for peas, corn, diced vegetables, fruit pieces or seafood must be calculated separately. Important factors include:
Product dimensions
Weight per piece
Surface moisture
Product inlet temperature
Required outlet temperature
Product-layer depth
Belt speed
Air velocity
Bulk density
The guaranteed production capacity should be confirmed using the customer’s actual product specifications.
Adjustable Freezing Time
The listed freezing-time range is 6–30 minutes.
The independent frequency-controlled belts allow the rapid-cooling stage and deep-freezing stage to operate at different speeds.
A shorter cycle may be used for small, pre-cooled products. Larger or wetter products may require a slower conveyor speed and longer residence time.
1500 mm Stainless Steel Belt
The reference machine uses a 1,500 mm-wide food-grade stainless steel conveyor belt.
The belt provides sufficient open area for cold air to pass upward through the food layer. Belt design and opening size should be selected according to the smallest product to prevent food pieces from falling through or becoming trapped.
SUS304 Internal Structure
The internal supporting structure is manufactured from SUS304 stainless steel and assembled using argon arc welding.
The stainless steel structure is suitable for regular sanitation in fruit, vegetable and seafood processing environments.
Product Applications
French Fries
French fries are the reference product for the 3,000 kg/h configuration.
The two-stage system first forms a frozen surface and then completes deep freezing while keeping the fries separated. Product size, oil content, surface moisture and inlet temperature affect the final capacity.
Peas and Sweet Corn
Peas and sweet corn kernels have small, relatively uniform shapes that are suitable for upward airflow and fluidized conveying.
The product layer should be distributed evenly across the belt to prevent local overloading.
Carrot Slices and Diced Vegetables
Carrot slices, diced vegetables and similar cut products can be processed when their dimensions are controlled.
Excess water should be removed after washing or blanching because free surface moisture can increase adhesion and evaporator frosting.
Broccoli and Vegetable Pieces
Broccoli florets and other cut vegetable pieces can be frozen individually when their product size and loading depth are suitable for the airflow system.
Large or highly irregular pieces may require a lower bed depth to maintain sufficient air movement.
Fruit Pieces
The freezer can be evaluated for small fruit pieces that remain stable on the mesh conveyor.
Soft, delicate or high-sugar fruits may require product testing to determine the correct inlet temperature, belt movement and airflow intensity.
Shrimp and Small Seafood
Shrimp and selected small seafood products can also be processed.
The conveyor design, product size and surface moisture should be reviewed to reduce belt adhesion and maintain individual separation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What product is the 3000 kg/h capacity based on?
The published 3,000 kg/h capacity is based on French fries. Capacity for vegetables, fruit or seafood must be confirmed separately.
What foods are suitable for fluidized freezing?
The freezer is suitable for small, free-flowing products such as fries, peas, sweet corn, carrot pieces, broccoli, selected fruit pieces and shrimp.
Is the freezer suitable for large meat or fish portions?
No. The fluidized design is intended mainly for small food pieces. Large and heavy products cannot be effectively loosened by the upward airflow.
Why does the freezer use two conveyors?
The first conveyor provides rapid cooling and surface setting. The second conveyor increases product separation and completes deep freezing. Each belt can be adjusted independently.
Can wet vegetables enter the freezer directly?
Excess surface water should be removed before freezing. High moisture can increase sticking, ice buildup and evaporator frosting.
Can the two belt speeds be adjusted separately?
Yes. The two mesh belts use independent variable-frequency speed regulation.
What refrigerant does the machine use?
The reference configuration uses R717 ammonia. Other refrigeration configurations require separate technical confirmation.
Does the machine include the refrigeration unit?
The product page lists the refrigerant and refrigeration requirement, but the complete compressor and condenser supply scope should be confirmed in the quotation.
